Josh Dean

Executive Director

C.E.M., LEED AP O+M, Fitwel Ambassador

Josh has professional experience working in the real estate, sustainability and construction industries. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University, a Green Building Certificate from Colorado State University, and is a Certified Energy Manager and LEED Accredited Professional in O+M. He has been involved in the Existing Buildings Committee and Green Assistance Program at SDGBC since 2013, and he has worked on LEED EBOM and energy projects throughout Colorado and San Diego County.


David Adler
Community Coordinator

David is a native San Diegan who enjoys all facets of sustainability and how they affect us here locally. He has experience in small-scale commercial and municipal energy efficiency projects, water conservation projects, waste management policies and green business initiatives while working for the City of Chula Vista. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University in Economics, a Certificate of Knowledge of Building Science Principles and is a LEED Green Associate, pursuing LEED Accredited Professional.

Paulina Lis
Strategy and sustainability

Paulina joined the SDGBC staff team in 2014 after serving as a volunteer and chair of the Sustainable Destination Committee since 2011. She holds a Bachelor degree in Tourism Management from Napier University Scotland, a Sustainable Business Practices certificate from UCSD and LEED Accreditation in Operations and Maintenance and Neighborhood Development. She has been involved with various San Diego projects such as North Park EcoDistrict initiative, LEED EBOM certifications and water efficiency efforts in Balboa Park
