For five years I worked with local governments, transportation agencies and water agencies on energy efficiency projects.  Working with the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority we conducted an audit of their existing (non-LEED) buildings and were able to reduce their energy use by 10% annually, over 4 million kilowatt-hours.  At the Port of San Diego I worked with the staff to develop their Energy Road Map, which will guide them toward their sustainability goals.  I worked for several years in the alternate fuel vehicle industry. The first eight years of my career I was an Air Force Captain.

Bryon Stafford
President
Leland Construction
Summary of qualifications:
I have been in the construction industry for almost 15 years.  I have owned my own residential construction company, Leland Construction for six years.  While not solely a company focused on green building, we try to implement green building practices and sustainability into all of our projects. During my tenure as the residential committee chair the committee has grown in size and member "job" satisfaction and "work" enjoyment has risen tremendously.  This year our signature event, the Green Homes Tour, was the most well attended and publicized event of its eight year history.  The PR campaign was incredible for getting the word out about the event and the chapter in general.
