SITES Rating System

SITES Rating System is used by developers, policy-makers, landscape architects, designers, engineers, architects and others to align land development and management with innovative sustainable design, SITES oer a comprehensive rating system designed to distinguish sustainable landscapes, measure their performance and elevate their value. SITES certication is for development projects located on sites with or without buildings— ranging from national parks to corporate campuses, streetscapes to homes, and more.

Originally from Canada, Jennifer Montgomery has practiced landscape architecture in California since 2006.  Jenn has devoted her career to sustainable landscape architecture practices, developing an appreciation for innovative site-specific design and construction solutions.  She brings her passion for sustainability to her work on a wide variety of projects, from parks, trails, and master plans, to commercial and institutional facilities.  Mrs. Montgomery managed the successful submittal of the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, Escondido to the pilot program of the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) and served as guest speaker in the SITES Fundamentals webinar series.

Chris Tiffany, PLA, SITES AP, Landscape Architect, Schmidt Design Group, Inc.

Chris joined Schmidt Design Group, Inc. after receiving a BA from UC Santa Barbara and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona.  A California native, Chris’s passion for landscape architecture grew from his affinity for the outdoors and appreciation for how the built environment contributes to the aesthetic, environmental, and socio-economic experience of our daily lives.  He enjoys the complexity and variety within the profession of landscape architecture, and embraces the process of addressing multifaceted issues to craft solutions for community enrichment.
