What : Join us for the next Living Building Collaborative Meeting, including a presentation by Nathan Benjamin; founder and principal of Planet REUSE.

"PlanetReuse will provide tools and insight for help changing the view of material reuse in new sustainable design projects and overcoming the overall design and construction roadblocks found and/or perceived with reclaimed materials in new commercial & residential projects.  In doing so, ideas and methods of how to change the perception and the current reality of the industry’s view of reused materials will be reviewed and discussed. Participants will be able to:

- Define the range of salvaged materials available for reuse and how each impacts cost savings on a typical project

- Establish, through case studies, the most effective time and method for considering reclaimed materials in typical new building, renovation and tenant finish projects

- Target the most obvious placements for reclaimed materials within a project and how the reuse impacts LEED and Living Building Challenge certification

- Identify resources available for help in sourcing materials, providing deconstruction insight and supporting certification"
