Green Building Series: LEED vs. CalGreen

LEED is the most widely recognized green building Rating System on the planet. CalGreen is the nation’s first mandatory green building code and is required by most new construction and commercial interior projects in California. It is imperative that building professional understand both standards and how to navigate the documentation requirements for each. Come join us for an engaging 2 hour seminar as we present the key similarities and difference between LEED and CalGreen, including how each relates to your project. This session provides 2 GBCI CEUs. 

About the Speaker: Alex Spilger is Principal and Founder of GreenStep: Education for the Built Environment and teaches LEED workshops for organizations throughout the Bay Area. He draws from his experience working on over two dozen green building projects to offer practical and engaging workshops designed to prepare you pass the test with confidence - the first time. Alex is a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Green Building Professional, AIA Continuing Education Provider, HERS Rater and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA.

When not advising on green building projects or facilitating workshops, Alex specializes in teaching Exam Preparation workshops for USGBC-NCC, and is noted for being one of the highest quality instructors of this field.
